What's the role of a Celebrity Guest Judge?

Everybody needs attention and publicity now a days, without publicity you won't be able to survive in the world of glamor. So, there is no doubt why Bollywood celebrities appear at these reality shows. They want to gain popularity in every possible way they can. Have you guys ever wonder what's their use or role at a talent show where their appearance hardly matters to the contestants. Every year I see the Bipashas and the Johns are coming to the "Indian Idol Show" but they are just doing the same thing what they do in their non sense movies. Yeah!! you are right I am talking about either they just come to dance like a "Item girl or a boy" with the contestants or they are making silly non sense comments about something on which they don't even have any kind of knowledge. Some of them are even worse, they only come to promote their upcoming movies. My request to all these celebrities would be, "Please spare these reality shows" you have other mediums such as news papers, magazines - why you have to come to a reality show to promote your crap!! movies. The show organizers only bring them to increase the TRP of the show, but why would you need celebrities to do that if there are quality participants featuring in your show your show's TRP will automatically increase. Moreover the main objective of the "Indian Idol Show" is to promote new talents rather than providing a platform to non sense celebrities for further fame.

I guess I have provided enough reasons for you guys that why this show should be banned. All these seems like a perfect script of a movie and everybody is playing ther part very well. This show is a curse to our society. It killing our youth generation. They are being deviated from the real thing of their lives. Stop it please!!

Promises are made to be broken

Banning reality shows like "Indian Idol" is obvious for the people of our country and after reading this post I hope most individuals will agree with me.

We have heard many promises had been made to some of the contestants by our judges and celebrity guest judges during their performances at the "Indian Idol show" but none of those are actually kept in reality. There's one incident I would like to mention as it was also published on some of the well-known newspapers. I hope you all will remember the promises made by Farah Khan to Rahul Saxena after the latter's exclusion from the contest, it was promised to Rahul that he will be doing playback singing in the Farah's forthcoming movie. I wonder whether that has ever happened. We have seen Anu Malik (Who's trying to be the next Simon Cowel) should join acting as his melodramatic act onscreen is getting crappier day by day. Since first "Indian Idol" contest he has made so many contestant a superstar I have almost lost count, but in reality I wonder how many of them have actually worked with Anu Malik.

Ever wondered why Sonu Nigam never wanted to be the judge of "Indian Idol Show" after his appearance in the first season of the show. I don't think any of us know it. But there's rumors Sonu left only because of the reason that he was totally pissed off on the show organizer's who were unable to keep their promises made by them to the contestants.

I think if you are unable to keep your promises then what's the point of running a show like "Indian Idol" where people actually come to make their dreams come true with so much believe but actually left disappointed in the end.

What matters most Popularity or Talent: Looks, Talent or Hype (Part 3)

Last week's tragic incident at Mumbai had disturbed a lot as you can see I didn't make any on post on my blog topic. However from this week onward I'll be posting everything about the "Indian Idol Show" until the next terrorist attack happens in India. Mumbai people seems to have got pretty much used to these kind of things as we can see the same crowd and busyness around the terror hit areas.

I am just kind of confused today about what should I write about Prashant Tamang. Are you people Wondering who is he? Well let me just give a brief introduction about him.

Prashant Tamang:

Claim to fame: Winner of Indian Idol (Season 3)

Profession: A constable with Kolkata Police before winning Indian Idol.

Voice quality: Not sure. Good with a particular form of songs but not so confident with every song.

Musical Training: Don't know

Musical career: Used to sing for a band of Kolkata police in order to entertain higher ranked officers.

How did he became Indian Idol? No one knows.

There were lots of speculation going on at the time when Prashant Tamang became the winner of "Indian Idol 3". One thing is for sure that it was definitely not talent that won him the contest. There were a lot more talented people participated along with him some of them really deserved to be the winner. It was really amazing to see that he didn't even appeared at the danger zone for a single time instead of performing horribly in some episode. This is where I would like to protest the system of public voting cause most of the people in India don't have enough knowledge about music so how can leave the the decision to them when it comes to choosing your Indian Idol. I have even heard rumors that at north eastern regions in India it became a political issue and people are being forced to vote for Prashant. Whatever it is but Prashant Tamang surely was not the deserving contestant to win the "Indian Idol" and I strongly protest the idea of public voting in this case.
